When Tung Kai Ying originally introduced it to his students, we
were instructed to do each of the nine movements nine times. Later he had his students do movements four times each then in reverse
order do each movement four times again.
A poem by Emilio Gonzales a long time San Francisco Taiji teacher and senior
student of Master Tung Kai Ying, is helpful to remember the sequence to this Qi Gong :
Taiji Qi Gong
The Heaven opened and out of the skies
The Fair Lady wove Heaven and Earth.
The Tiger forced the Wild Horse to the knees.
The
two strong Winds Crossed the river,
and Pushed the boat back to the shore.
